Well, the answer is very simple. Learn to understand what you need and what suit you instead of becoming a fashion victim!

Have you watched the  movie Shopaholic?

I believe you can remember the scenes how Becky was mesmerizing by the mannequin in the window displays and couldn't help herself to pick up the sexy tempting clothes and also the crazy warehouse sales that almost every ladies in town cue up trying to find her left over Manolo Blahnik's heels or Chanel's handbag.

At the end, she is in debts for 14 credit cards that nearly killing her career, relationship and future! In order for you not to trap into Becky's position, is essential for women to understand herself fully what makes you beautiful, wonderful and powerful. My believe is every woman needs to bring out their best and be a real goddess!

A sustainable image is extremely important to save your penny and to save the planet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jml_MOEPA-s

1. Know your Colour

If you know your hue that can brighten your face &enhance your feature, you will always know what are the good colours to pick up that can blend in your wardrobe.

For example there is a temperature of warm and cold in colour and every individual might be carrying better in either warm or cold depends on their skin, hair and eyes colour.

You will definitely look younger and brighter if you are wearing your best colour.

In our workshop, we use Universal Energy Colour system to drape you and help you identify them precisely and you can bring back a colour chart for shopping next time.

I also illustrate out the self check in my recent book, The Power of Charm to help you do your own check as well. (Click ThePowerofCharm.com for downloading)

Once you are aware of your own colour, you can shop and buy in your colour capsule which is more flexible to mix & match instead of having a big mixture of colour in your wardrobe.

2. Know your Style

You might have some instinct with colour but I bet you will wonder what is style?

Well, every men or ladies do have their own job, lifestyle and social pattern, right?

Your wardrobe and your presentation needs to reflect your value and your believes in order to be congruent with who you are. Style will indirectly tell people about your personality and your taste as well. It's the way to express and tell the world who you are and stand tall in yourself.

For example the latest Mrs. President, Michelle Obama certainly know her style, Elegant-Euro Chic well and being very consistent in how she carries herself.

Her smart choice of colour & style has made her one of the most popular face in the fashion magazine which is exceptional for politician.

Thus exude your style is a must if you want to command certainty and confidence.

Nobody can tell you what you should dress in but only you yourself would know what suits you well.

In short, there are 7 universal styles for men or women to present themselves. For example there are classic, elegant, romantic, sporty, alluring, creative & dramatic.

We always use analytical test to help you find out and you will know weather you should be more classic like Audrey Hepburn or creative chic like Sarah Jessica Parker !

Nowadays we even develop a 5 elements Style Analysis to look into your personalities, look out for our coming newsletter on that issue.

3. Eco green material

Some designers like Stella McCartneys, linda Loudermilk understand that fashion needs to go green at this crucial time.

If you are concern about the planet, perhaps is also time that we look into buying material which is sustainable such as organic cotton, linen, wool, ramie or silk which is natural and environmental friendly.

The materials to avoid are Synthetic fibers (polyester, vinyl, nylon), animal products (leather, suede), and cellulose materials (rayon). For more, check out Lucky's April issue.

4. Recycle Your Clothes

Fashion always comes and goes. Some of the trend stay for 2 years and then disappear which we call Fad and might come back in another 2 years.

For example the 60's style that in trend this year and last year might have a change next year. Then the 50's or 80's (hopefully not as 80's fashion is not appealing for me) might come back to take over.

Thus you need to learn how to identify style in different era and also differentiate what is FAD and TREND. FAD is a style which might be popular for 2 years but TREND might be just stayed for a season.

For example the 3-D form of designs (puffy sleeves, pockets) and the pirates pants will certainly disappear after this season as it's not a sustainable design and not very practical for everybody, certainly not for ladies with figure of 8 or petite in size.

If you know this is not sustainable, perhaps you should look for design which is CLASSIC or FAD to save your penny then!

If you love brands and fashion, wouldn't mind to trade off to get a splash new one every season. You can also consider selling to the vintage handbag shop in Sri Hartamas like Scoop (www.scoop.com.my) and Vintage Luxury.

I personally have picked up very good value Max Mara A-line skirt & satin orange Escada blouse from the shop there, worth checking out from time to time. You might find treasures that worth a lot!

Anybody would like to save more budget especially at this challenging time? I predict lots of you will be nodding your head but might be wondering how to do it  as  you still want to looks sharp and fashionable?
